About Chicago Applied Improv
Chicago Applied Improv was founded by Jordan Reichardt and Eric Pedersen, two working Chicago improvisers who bring their stage experience into the training room. Between them, they've trained and performed at iO, Second City, Annoyance, and improv festivals across the U.S. and Europe — and for the past several years, they've focused that experience on helping people and teams outside of comedy get better at listening, collaborating, and thinking on their feet.
Improv isn't just about being funny — it's a discipline built on real skills: active listening, quick adaptation, saying "yes, and," and building trust with the people around you. Those are the same skills that make teams communicate better, leaders more responsive, and client relationships stronger. We take improv exercises and reframe them as practical training, tailored to whatever room we're in.
